British gothic rock pioneers The Mission take the stage at Pustervik. A classic live performance with dark, dramatic sound.
The Mission are an English gothic rock band from Leeds, formed in 1986 by Wayne Hussey and Craig Adams after both left the Sisters of Mercy. Their debut album God's Own Medicine (1986) entered the UK chart at #14, and the follow-up Children (1988) peaked at #2 - establishing them as one of the defining acts of the British post-punk and goth scene. With over four million albums sold worldwide and a catalogue spanning ten studio records, the band has toured continuously across Europe and beyond, with Hussey as the sole constant member throughout.
The Mission announced two strings of European shows for 2027, their first mainland Europe dates in three years, to be supported by a new studio album expected in autumn/winter 2026.
The 2027 European tour stretches from Spain and Portugal through Central Europe and Scandinavia, with a Warsaw date confirmed for 8 October 2027.
Limited-edition vinyl reissues of God's Own Medicine, Children and Carved in Sand were released as a bundle through the band's official merch store.
The Mission postponed their June 2025 tour following Wayne Hussey's departure from the band; the rescheduled dates were set for January 2026.
Wayne Hussey stated the band's aim is to release a new album in 2026, marking the group's 40th anniversary.
