The Sisters of Mercy are an English gothic rock band formed in Leeds in 1980 by Andrew Eldritch and guitarist Gary Marx. Eldritch's bass-baritone voice and the drum machine Doktor Avalanche have been the only constants across three studio albums - First and Last and Always (1985), Floodland (1987) and Vision Thing (1990) - all of which charted in the UK top 15. Since the early 1990s the band has operated solely as a live act, yet retains a global cult following built on dark, atmospheric post-punk that helped define the gothic rock genre.
The Sisters of Mercy announced a major European autumn 2026 tour spanning over 30 dates across 12 countries, including Scandinavian stops in Malmö, Gothenburg, Oslo and Stockholm.
The band played four dates in Latin America in September-October 2025, including shows in Mexico City, Buenos Aires and Santiago - their first Latin American appearances of that year.
The Sisters of Mercy performed two sold-out nights at London's Roundhouse in May 2025 as part of their European tour.
Tickets for the band's 2026 German tour dates went on sale from 6 February 2026 via Eventim and FKP Scorpio.
