About

The Cure are an English rock band formed in Crawley, West Sussex in 1976 by Robert Smith and Lol Tolhurst. Moving between post-punk, gothic rock and melodic pop, they became one of the most influential alternative acts of the past five decades, with Smith as the sole constant member across 14 studio albums. Their 2024 comeback record Songs of a Lost World - their first in 16 years - debuted at number one in the UK and won the band their first-ever Grammy Awards in February 2026.
