Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 1983 by singer-songwriter Nick Cave, alongside Mick Harvey and Blixa Bargeld. Over 18 studio albums they have moved from post-punk and gothic rock through intimate balladry to expansive, arena-filling sound, earning a reputation as one of the most consistently inventive acts of the past four decades. Their 2024 album Wild God debuted at No. 5 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 2 on the ARIA Chart, and the subsequent Wild God Tour became the band's biggest ever.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds released the live double album Live God on 5 December 2025, recorded during the Wild God Tour across Europe and North America in 2024-25.
The band announced a major UK and European summer 2026 tour, including headline shows and festival slots across more than a dozen countries.
Nick Cave received an Honorary Doctorate from the Royal College of Art for his contributions to music and literature.
Nick Cave was awarded the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture during a visit to France.
