Mick Harvey (born 1958 in Rochester, Victoria) is an Australian musician, composer, arranger and record producer who spent over three decades as a core member of Nick Cave's bands - from The Boys Next Door and The Birthday Party through to Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, which he left in 2009. A multi-instrumentalist at home on guitar, bass, keyboards and drums, he has built a parallel solo career that spans film scores, Serge Gainsbourg translations and original albums, and has co-produced records for PJ Harvey, Rowland S. Howard and others.
A CD edition of Golden Mirrors (The Uncovered Sessions Vol. 1) with four bonus tracks is scheduled for release on 26 September 2025 via Mute.
Harvey and Amanda Acevedo released Golden Mirrors (The Uncovered Sessions Vol. 1) on 28 March 2025 via Mute, a tribute to American folk songwriter Jackson C. Frank.
Harvey and Acevedo announced plans to continue The Uncovered Sessions series while also working on a new album of original material set for release in 2026.
Harvey's solo album Five Ways to Say Goodbye was released on 10 May 2024 via Mute, combining original compositions with reinterpretations of songs by Ed Kuepper, David McComb, Neil Young and others.
Harvey announced a European tour for May-June 2024, with dates in Barcelona, Madrid, London, Milan and other cities.
