Ane Brun (born Ane Brunvoll, 10 March 1976 in Molde, Norway) is a Norwegian singer-songwriter of partial Sami ancestry who has lived in Stockholm - and more recently Oslo - since 2001. Blending folk, chamber pop and indie influences, she has released over ten studio albums on her own label Balloon Ranger Recordings, charting at number one in Norway multiple times and winning the Spellemannpris for Best Female Artist. Her voice - distinctive, wide-ranging and emotionally direct - sits at the centre of everything she does.
Ane Brun released the single 'Two in This Story' on 16 May 2025 via Balloon Ranger Recordings, the lead track from her forthcoming 11th studio album.
A new studio album - her first in five years - was announced for release later in 2025, with a European tour for 2025/2026 also confirmed.
Brun was confirmed to perform at Øyafestivalen in Oslo on 9 August 2025.
Brun contributed vocals to 'My Name', a track on AURORA's album 'What Happened to the Heart?', released 7 June 2024.
The live album '20th Anniversary Tour', recorded with vocalist Shadi G, was released on 31 May 2024 via Balloon Ranger Recordings.
