She Past Away is a Turkish post-punk and darkwave duo formed in Bursa in 2006 by vocalist/guitarist Volkan Caner and bassist Idris Akbulut; keyboardist Doruk Öztürkcan joined as a full member in 2015. Singing entirely in Turkish, the band blends reverb-drenched guitars, driving synth lines and minimalist lyrics that circle themes of isolation and existential anxiety - a sound rooted in 1980s cold wave and gothic rock. Their 2012 debut album Belirdi Gece put them on the international underground map, and they have since built a devoted cult following across Europe, North America and Asia. Their 2026 album Mizantrop marks their first studio record in seven years.
She Past Away released their fourth studio album Mizantrop, their first new studio record since Disko Anksiyete in 2019.
The band performed at Amphi Festival 2025 in Cologne, one of Europe's largest gothic and darkwave festivals.
She Past Away collaborated with fellow Turkish darkwave act Ductape on the single 'Ölüm Günüm (My Day of Death)', released via Swiss Dark Nights.
The band released the single 'İnziva', accompanied by a music video inspired by German Expressionist silent films.
She Past Away played Stockholm's FutureRetro Weekender on 28 February 2026 as part of their extended European and North American tour cycle.
