Duran Duran are a British pop and new wave band from Birmingham, formed in 1978, whose synth-driven sound and cinematic music videos made them one of the defining acts of the 1980s. Fronted by Simon Le Bon alongside Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor, they have sold over 100 million records worldwide, scored 18 US chart hits and 21 UK Top 20 singles, and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. Their accolades include two Grammy Awards, two BRIT Awards and two Ivor Novellos - one for Outstanding Contribution to British Music.
