Alison Moyet is an English singer-songwriter from Basildon, Essex, who first broke through in 1982 as one half of the synth-pop duo Yazoo alongside Vince Clarke. Her deep, bluesy contralto has defined both her Yazoo work and a solo career spanning ten studio albums, with worldwide record sales certified at over 23 million. Debut album Alf (1984) went to number one in the UK, and she has won multiple Brit Awards including Best British Female Artist.
Moyet performed as Very Special Guest on The Human League's Generations Tour in North America, appearing in San Diego on 2 June 2026.
Moyet announced a 34-date European and UK headline tour titled 'Songs of Yazoo, the minutes & Other', starting September 2026, with 20 UK/Ireland shows selling out within days.
Due to overwhelming demand, Moyet added ten extra dates to the 'Songs of Yazoo' tour, including a second London night at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on 23 November.
Moyet released her tenth studio album Key on 4 October 2024, which reached number 8 on the UK Albums Chart - her first top-10 chart position in eleven years.
Five Alison Moyet albums - Hometime, Voice, The Turn, the minutes and Other - were announced for reissue on heavyweight colour vinyl and deluxe CD, due 25 September 2026.
