Tina Turner (1939-2023) was an American singer and performer, born Anna Mae Bullock in Brownsville, Tennessee, who rose to fame in the early 1960s as the driving force of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue. After leaving that partnership in 1976, she rebuilt her career from scratch and at age 44 scored one of pop history's most remarkable comebacks with the album Private Dancer (1984), which won three Grammy Awards and sold over 15 million copies in pure sales. Twice inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - with Ike Turner in 1991 and as a solo artist in 2021 - she sold over 100 million records in total and earned the title 'Queen of Rock 'n' Roll'.
Chartmetric data shows Tina Turner's Spotify popularity score holding at 70, with her catalog surpassing 5 million followers on the platform in April 2026.
The posthumously released track 'Hot for You Baby' debuted on two UK charts, reaching No. 91 on the Official Singles Downloads chart.
