concertSystem of a Down + Queens of the Stone Age
System of a Down performs at Strawberry Arena in Stockholm in summer 2026 with Queens of the Stone Age and Acid Bath.
Acid Bath is an American sludge metal band from Houma, Louisiana, active from 1991 to 1997 and reunited in 2024. Regarded as one of the genre's founding acts, they built a sound from doom metal, death metal, blues, grunge and Southern rock - two albums, When the Kite String Pops (1994) and Paegan Terrorism Tactics (1996), earned them a devoted underground following that has only grown since. The band dissolved after bassist Audie Pitre was killed by a drunk driver in January 1997; original members Dax Riggs, Sammy Duet and Mike Sanchez returned to the stage in 2025, their first shows in 28 years.
Acid Bath are currently on their first-ever European tour, supporting System of a Down and Queens of the Stone Age on a stadium run that includes Stockholm (June 29), Paris, Milan, Berlin, Dusseldorf, London and Warsaw.
Acid Bath performed at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky in September 2025, one of several major US festival appearances during their reunion run.
The band's reunion live run kicked off on April 25, 2025 in their hometown of New Orleans - their first show in 28 years after the originally planned Sick New World festival appearance was canceled.
Acid Bath announced their reunion on October 15, 2024, with original members Dax Riggs, Sammy Duet and Mike Sanchez returning alongside drummer Zack Simmons (Goatwhore) and bassist Shane Wesley (Crowbar).
