About

Andrew Eldritch (born Andrew William Harvey Taylor, 15 May 1959) is the founder, vocalist and sole remaining original member of The Sisters of Mercy, the Leeds-formed band that became one of the defining forces in gothic rock. Known for his deep bass-baritone voice and politically charged lyrics, he has steered the band through more than four decades of touring while deliberately refusing to release new studio recordings since 1993.
