Chad Wackerman (born March 25, 1960, Long Beach, California) is an American jazz fusion and rock drummer who spent seven years - from 1981 to 1988 - touring and recording with Frank Zappa, appearing on 27 albums including the London Symphony Orchestra recordings. He is one of only three drummers in Zappa's entire career to master the notoriously demanding pieces 'The Black Page' and 'Mo and Herb's Vacation', alongside Terry Bozzio and Vinnie Colaiuta. Beyond Zappa, Wackerman has recorded and toured extensively with Allan Holdsworth, Steve Vai, Andy Summers, James Taylor and Steven Wilson, and leads his own jazz fusion trio.
