Thrown takes the stage at Fållan with Counterparts, No Cure, and Heavensgate. The band showcases their album Excessive Guilt.
Counterparts are a Canadian metalcore and melodic hardcore band from Hamilton, Ontario, formed in 2007. Led by vocalist Brendan Murphy, whose intensely personal lyrics explore grief, depression and loss, the band built their reputation through relentless touring and a string of critically praised albums on Pure Noise Records. During the 2010s they were among the leading acts in a wave merging melodic hardcore with metalcore, and they have sold over 250,000 albums across their career.
Counterparts surprise-released a six-track EP titled 'Heaven Let Them Die' on November 7, 2024, via Pure Noise Records.
The band announced a headlining North American tour for early 2025 in support of the new EP, with Pain of Truth, Malevolence and Foreign Hands as support acts.
Counterparts announced an Australian tour for June 2025, supported by Dying Wish, covering Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane.
The band released their first-ever live album on July 30, 2024, recorded at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto during their 2022 tour.
Counterparts embarked on a European and UK leg of the 'Heaven Let Them Die' tour in early 2026, with dates in Germany, Switzerland, the UK and France.
