Dragonland is a symphonic power metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden, active since 1999. They built their reputation on the self-written Dragonland Chronicles fantasy saga - spanning their debut, second and fifth albums - and on the distinctive orchestral-electronic arrangements of keyboardist Elias Holmlid. Six studio albums across two decades, from the debut 'The Battle of the Ivory Plains' (2001) to 'The Power of the Nightstar' (2022), have made them a cult name in European power metal circles.
Dragonland released 'Survival of Mankind', the first single from their upcoming seventh album 'Prophecies', due October 23, 2026 via Scarlet Records.
Longtime guitarist Olof Mörck departed Dragonland in July 2026; the band cited his growing commitments with Amaranthe as the reason.
'Prophecies' was produced by Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman and will be released on digipack CD, vinyl LP and digitally; vinyl editions include limited marbled and splatter pressings.
Dragonland are set to tour Europe in autumn 2026 as support for Tyr, alongside Twilight Force and Vanaheim.
