Göteborgs Stadsteater is one of Sweden's largest publicly funded theatres, founded in 1916 in central Gothenburg. It stages a wide range of productions, from classics to contemporary drama and documentary theatre. The theatre is run jointly by Västra Götalandsregionen and the City of Gothenburg.
