Danish rock band D-A-D takes the stage at Stora Scenen on Liseberg. The group behind the classic Sleeping My Day Away showcases an extensive repertoire spanning over four decades.
Jacob Binzer is the lead guitarist of Danish hard rock band D-A-D, which he joined in 1984 after his older brother Jesper had already co-founded the group - originally called Disneyland After Dark - in Copenhagen. Within the band he is known as the primary musical architect, composing on piano before translating ideas to guitar. D-A-D broke through internationally with the 1989 album No Fuel Left for the Pilgrims, and the lineup has remained stable since 1999, making Jacob a constant presence across all 13 studio albums.
D-A-D played sold-out shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth on their Greatest Hits Australian Tour, then headlined Sweden Rock, Hellfest and Wacken Open Air.
D-A-D released their 13th studio album Speed of Darkness on 4 October 2024, which went straight to number one in Denmark and gave the band their best Swedish chart position in 30 years.
D-A-D played a sold-out show at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen on 1 November 2024 as part of the Speed of Darkness tour.
To mark their 40th anniversary, D-A-D were given their own exhibition at the National Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen.
Jacob Binzer appeared as a guest on the Danish podcast Kunstsamlerne, discussing his parallel passion for collecting contemporary art.
