Jan Harbeck (born 1975 in Aarhus) is a Danish tenor saxophonist, composer and bandleader whose quartet has been one of the best-selling acts in Danish instrumental jazz for over a decade. Trained at the Royal Academy of Music in Aalborg and later at The New School in New York, he draws deep from the swing and bebop tradition while writing his own material. His awards include a Danish Grammy (2009), the Bent Jædig Prize (2011) and the Ben Webster Prize (2018). Alongside the acoustic Jan Harbeck Quartet he leads Live Jive Jungle, a groove-driven electric band built around hard-swinging drumbeats.
Jan Harbeck Quartet released the album 'Conversation' on Stunt Records on 13 March 2026.

The Jan Harbeck Quartet released 'Balanced' (Stunt Records) in November 2022, an album consisting entirely of Harbeck's own compositions.
Live Jive Jungle released 'Elevate' on Stunt Records in April 2022, recorded live in the studio by producer Flemming Rasmussen.
Jan Harbeck and pianist Henrik Gunde jointly received the prestigious Ben Webster Prize in 2018.
