Jazz Sabbath is an English jazz trio created in 2020 by Adam Wakeman - longtime keyboard and guitar player for Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne - who performs under the fictional persona of pianist Milton Keanes. The project's central conceit is a tongue-in-cheek claim that Black Sabbath's heavy metal classics were originally composed as jazz pieces in 1968, only to be stolen by a band from Birmingham. All three studio albums have charted on the Billboard Jazz Chart, and the band tours internationally at jazz festivals and concert halls.
Jazz Sabbath released their first official live album 'Jazz Sabbath Live' on 20 February 2026, recorded at the Paradox Jazz Club in Tilburg, Netherlands during their 2025 tour.
Jazz Sabbath performed at Wacken Open Air in Germany on 31 July and 1 August 2026.
Jazz Sabbath released 'The 1968 Tapes' in November 2024, their third studio album, which also charted on the Billboard Jazz Chart.
Jazz Sabbath is currently on an extensive 2026 tour spanning 11 countries with over 40 concerts, including dates in the Netherlands, Czech Republic and the UK.
Adam Wakeman took part in Black Sabbath's 'Back to the Beginning' farewell concert in Birmingham in 2025.
