Kublai Khan TX is a metalcore band from Sherman, Texas, formed in 2009. Drawing on 1990s metallic hardcore - think Hatebreed and Earth Crisis - they pair heavily downtuned guitars with blunt, socially conscious lyrics on topics ranging from racism and police brutality to depression and addiction. Signed to Rise Records since 2017, they have five studio albums to their name, most recently Exhibition of Prowess (2024).
Kublai Khan TX played the European and Nordic festival circuit in June 2026, including Tuska Open Air in Helsinki (June 27), Tons of Rock in Oslo (June 26), and Copenhell in Copenhagen (June 25).
The band supported Lamb of God on a North American headline tour in spring 2026.
Kublai Khan TX released the single 'The Mountain of Corsicana' on September 10, 2025.
Guitarist Nolan Ashley announced his departure from the band after 13 years, citing complications from disc replacement surgery that left him unable to play live; Nicholas Adams of Justice For the Damned was named as his replacement.
The band released their fifth studio album, Exhibition of Prowess, on September 20, 2024 via Rise Records.
