Lasse Stefanz is a country-influenced dansband from Kristianstad, Sweden, active since 1967. Founded by twin brothers Hans and Lars Sigfridsson together with singer Olle Jönsson, the band grew from bingo-night gigs into what is widely billed as the Nordic region's biggest dansband, selling millions of records along the way. Their 1989 Grammis for Dansband of the Year and a string of Swedish albums chart number ones in the 2000s cemented their status, and they have competed in Melodifestivalen twice - in 2011 and 2024.
Lasse Stefanz returned to touring in April 2026 with a new, reduced schedule of roughly four to six shows per month, and added new members including keyboardist Niclas Brandt (formerly of Grönwalls).
Bandleader and guitarist Christer Ericsson remained absent from the lineup in April 2026, still recovering after suffering a cardiac arrest on stage in Skurup in May 2025.
In January 2026, it was confirmed that the band's comeback shows would begin on 10 April at Eventhallen in Ullared, followed by dates in Norway.
The band released a new record called 'Sommarkort' to coincide with their summer 2026 tour, featuring new material alongside reworked older tracks.
Christer Ericsson suffered a medical emergency during a performance at Skurups Folkets Park on 10 May 2025, causing the band to cancel three shows.
