Crossover pianist Maksim Mrvica performs his album SEGMENTI with classics by Chopin, Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky, alongside fresh interpretations of Queen and ABBA.
Maksim Mrvica is a Croatian classical crossover pianist born in 1975 in Šibenik, who studied at the Zagreb Music Academy, the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, and the Scriabin Conservatoire in Paris. He won first prize at the Nikolai Rubinstein International Piano Competition before signing with EMI, and his 2003 breakthrough album The Piano Player sold over four million copies across 57 countries. Known for playing up to 16 notes per second, he blends classical repertoire with pop, film and electronic sounds - and his twelve studio albums have now sold over five million copies worldwide.
Maksim Mrvica performed the Segmenti World Tour at Xiaomi Arena in Riga, Latvia - his first-ever concert in the country.
A second Ljubljana concert on November 8, 2025 was added after the November 4 show at Cankarjev dom sold out.
Maksim launched a 15-city China leg of the Segmenti World Tour, including Hong Kong, Beijing and Tianjin.
Maksim released his twelfth studio album Segmenti, an eight-track record mixing original compositions, instrumental arrangements and interpretations of classical works.
The Segmenti World Tour premiered in Hangzhou, China on October 2, 2024, where Mrvica collaborated with Yueju Opera actress Chen Lijun.
