Paul van Dyk (born Matthias Paul, 16 December 1971 in Eisenhüttenstadt, East Germany) is a Berlin-based DJ, producer and label owner who has shaped trance and electronic music since the early 1990s. He cut his teeth at Tresor in 1991, broke through globally with the 1994 classic "For an Angel", and was voted World No. 1 DJ by DJ Magazine in both 2005 and 2006 - one of only a handful of artists to achieve that twice. His Grammy-nominated album Reflections (2003) was the first record ever nominated in the newly created Best Dance/Electronic Album category, and his label VANDIT Records has been a cornerstone of the trance scene for over 25 years.
SHINE Ibiza 2026 is confirmed as a one-day boutique festival takeover at 528 Ibiza on 24 September 2026, with Paul van Dyk headlining across three stages over ten hours.
