Per Jonsson (1957-1998) was a Swedish choreographer and dancer who helped shape contemporary dance in Sweden. He worked with, among others, Cullbergbaletten, creating pieces that explored the body, movement and identity. Rivers of Mercury (1998) was his final choreography and is considered one of the most significant works in Swedish dance history.
