Sanna Nielsen (born 1984 in Edenryd, Skåne) is a Swedish pop and schlager singer, television presenter and musical theatre performer. She broke through as a child star in 1995 - at eleven she topped Svensktoppen with 'Till en fågel', becoming the youngest artist ever to hold a number-one position on that chart. Between 2001 and 2014 she competed in Melodifestivalen eight times in total, winning in 2014 with 'Undo' and representing Sweden at Eurovision in Copenhagen, where she finished third with 218 points. She later hosted Allsång på Skansen on SVT for seven summers and won the Swedish TV prize Kristallen twice for her presenting work.
Nielsen competed in Melodifestivalen 2026 with 'Waste Your Love', qualifying directly from Heat 5 in Sundsvall before finishing tenth in the final on 7 March 2026.
Nielsen won Heat 5 of Melodifestivalen 2026 in Sundsvall, earning a direct place in the Stockholm final with 72 points out of a possible 96.
SVT officially confirmed Nielsen's return to Melodifestivalen 2026 with the song 'Waste Your Love', her eighth participation in the competition.
