As It Is in Heaven

The original production of the musical As in Heaven was seen by over 220,000 guests at Oscarsteatern across four seasons, and has since been performed on over 30 stages throughout Europe. This autumn, the creators behind the original mount a new version at Lorensbergsteatern - opening 17 September.

The story centres on world-renowned conductor Daniel Daréus (Philip Jalmelid), who returns to his hometown after a breakdown. There he reluctantly takes over the leadership of the local church choir and meets the townspeople with their own dreams, fears and fates: charming Lena (Tuva B Larsen), the conservative priest Stig (Christopher Wollter), his wife Inger (Åsa Fång), Gabriella's jealous husband Conny (Robin Stegmar) and choir members - shopkeeper Arne (Peter Apelgren), Gabriella (Sanna Nielsen), Holmfrid (Henric Joneskär), Olga (Kajsa Reingardt), Tore (Rikard Björk) and others.

Through music, relationships in the town transform. Love, jealousy, power and reconciliation clash in a story where community is tested and every voice matters.
