Description was written before the event

The musical Så som i himmelen arrives in Göteborg on Thursday, 17 September 2026 at Lorensbergsteatern. Philip Jalmelid takes the lead role in this new production, based on the original staging that was seen by over 220,000 audiences at Oscarsteatern across four seasons. Lorensbergsteatern is one of Göteborg's oldest and most respected theatres, built in the early twentieth century in the Lorensberg neighbourhood and has long offered drama, opera and musicals on its stage. The musical centres on a world-renowned conductor who returns to his hometown and takes charge of the church choir, transforming relationships in the community through music, love and reconciliation. This Swedish production is now showing in Göteborg as part of a two-date tour across Sweden.
