As in Heaven

The original production of the musical As in Heaven was seen by over 220,000 guests at the Oscar Theatre over four seasons, and has since been performed on over 30 stages across Europe. This autumn, the creators behind the original present a new version at Lorensbergsteatern - opening night 17 September.

The musical centres on world-renowned conductor Daniel Daréus (Philip Jalmelid), who returns to his hometown after a breakdown. There he reluctantly takes over the leadership of the church choir and meets the town's residents with their dreams, fears and fates: charming Lena (Tuva B Larsen), the conservative priest Stig (Christopher Wollter), his wife Inger (Åsa Fång), shopkeeper Arne (Peter Apelgren), Gabriella (Sanna Nielsen), Gabriella's jealous husband Conny (Robin Stegmar), Holmfrid (Henric Joneskär), Olga (Kajsa Reingardt), Tore (Rikard Björk) and others.

Through music, relationships in the town transform - love, jealousy, power and reconciliation clash in a story about courage, community and what happens when people dare to truly meet.
