Solar Fields is the project of Gothenburg-based Swedish composer, multi-instrumentalist and sound designer Magnus Birgersson, active since the late 1990s. Spanning ambient, IDM, downtempo and psychedelic trance, his music is best known internationally through the acclaimed soundtrack to EA's Mirror's Edge and its sequel Mirror's Edge Catalyst. With over twenty releases on labels including Ultimae Records and his own Droneform Records, Birgersson is one of the most prolific figures in Scandinavian electronic music.
Origin # 04, the fourth installment in Birgersson's archival series, was released on June 27, 2025 via Droneform Records.
Origin # 04 was named Bandcamp Album of the Day on September 9, 2025.
