Danish rock band D-A-D takes the stage at Stora Scenen on Liseberg. The group behind the classic Sleeping My Day Away showcases an extensive repertoire spanning over four decades.
Stig Pedersen (born 18 May 1965, Amager) is the bassist and co-founder of the Danish hard rock band D-A-D, which he helped start in Copenhagen in the early 1980s under the original name Disneyland After Dark. He is instantly recognisable on stage for his custom-built two-string left-handed basses - shaped like rockets, cow heads or an olive on a cocktail stick - and for his outlandish costumes. Over more than four decades with D-A-D, he has co-written some of the band's best-known songs, including 'Sleeping My Day Away', and the band released their 13th studio album, Speed of Darkness, in October 2024.
D-A-D released their 13th studio album Speed of Darkness on 4 October 2024 via AFM Records, a 14-track double album recorded to mark the band's 40th anniversary.
To celebrate their 40th anniversary as a band, D-A-D received their own exhibition at the National Museum of Denmark.
D-A-D completed a Greatest Hits Australian tour in May 2025, playing Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
D-A-D performed at Wacken Open Air 2025 in Wacken, Germany.
D-A-D are scheduled to play Tivoli Friheden in Aarhus on 4 July 2026, alongside Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, Sort Sol and The Raveonettes.
