About

Sveriges Radios Symfoniorkester (SRSO), known informally as Radiosymfonikerna, is Sweden's national radio symphony orchestra, based at Berwaldhallen in Stockholm. Founded in 1925 alongside Sweden's first radio broadcasts, the orchestra has over 100 musicians and a long line of distinguished chief conductors - from Herbert Blomstedt and Esa-Pekka Salonen to Daniel Harding, who led the ensemble for nearly two decades until 2025. Concerts are broadcast live on Sveriges Radio P2 and distributed internationally via the EBU.
