Baltic Sea Festival: Rhythm and Ritual

The Baltic Sea Festival opens with a "night of firsts" where Andrés Orozco-Estrada conducts his inaugural concert as the new chief conductor of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra at Berwaldhallen.

The programme moves from Hillborg's Hell Mountain and Alma Mahler's songs performed by Malin Byström, through the world premiere of Molly Kien's Demon in Disguise, to Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, which closes the evening.

An evening that brings together classical music tradition with works by contemporary composers.
