Baltic Sea Festival: Rhythm and Ritual

Östersjöfestivalen opens on Friday 21 August 2026 at Berwaldhallen in Stockholm with conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada. The concert marks his debut as the new chief conductor of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and is one of two Swedish performances for him this year. Berwaldhallen, the Swedish Radio concert hall opened in 1979, seats approximately 1,200 listeners. The programme features Hillborg's Hell Mountain, songs by Alma Mahler performed by Malin Byström, the world premiere of Molly Kien's Demon in Disguise, and Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring closing the evening.
