Radiosymfonikerna, Radiokören & Malin Byström

Sweden's Radio Symphony Orchestra and Radio Choir visit Malmö with the orchestra's chief conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada and Swedish soprano Malin Byström. The programme centres on Walpurgis Night as a musical source of inspiration.

The evening opens with Helena Munktell's orchestral poem "Valborgsmässoeld" and concludes with Felix Mendelssohn's cantata "Die Erste Walpurgisnacht". Between these are performed the finale from Richard Strauss's final opera "Capriccio" and a suite from Mark-Anthony Turnage's opera "Festen", based on the Danish Dogme 95 film of the same name from 1995.
