concertThe Amity Affliction + Support: Silent Planet + Varials + Orthodox
Australian metalcore band The Amity Affliction performs in Stockholm with support from Silent Planet, Varials, and Orthodox.
The Amity Affliction are an Australian metalcore band from Queensland, formed in 2003 and fronted by vocalist Joel Birch. Over nine studio albums they have built one of the most loyal followings in heavy music, racking up four Australian chart-toppers and over a billion streams worldwide. Their lyrics tackle mental health, addiction and grief with a directness that has made them a touchstone for fans far beyond their home country.
The band released their ninth studio album 'House of Cards' on 24 April 2026 via Pure Noise Records, their first with new bassist/vocalist Jonathan Reeves.
On 29 May 2025, the band confirmed Jonathan Reeves as a full-time member and released the standalone single 'All That I Remember'.
Founding bassist and clean vocalist Ahren Stringer was fired from the band in February 2025, leaving no original members in the lineup.
Following Stringer's dismissal, a legal dispute over the trademark for the name 'Amity' emerged between him and the remaining band members.
The single 'Pittsburgh' received RIAA Gold certification in the United States in 2025.
