About

The Amity Affliction are an Australian metalcore band from Queensland, formed in 2003 and fronted by vocalist Joel Birch. Over nine studio albums they have built one of the most loyal followings in heavy music, racking up four Australian chart-toppers and over a billion streams worldwide. Their lyrics tackle mental health, addiction and grief with a directness that has made them a touchstone for fans far beyond their home country.

    The band released their ninth studio album 'House of Cards' on 24 April 2026 via Pure Noise Records, their first with new bassist/vocalist Jonathan Reeves.

    Founding bassist and clean vocalist Ahren Stringer was fired from the band in February 2025, leaving no original members in the lineup.
