About

The Watch is an Italian progressive rock band from Milan, founded in 1997 under the name The Night Watch and relaunched in 2000 by vocalist and principal songwriter Simone Rossetti. The band is widely regarded as one of the finest Genesis tribute acts in the world, covering the Peter Gabriel era from 1970 to 1977 with meticulous attention to period instruments - including real mellotron and Hammond organ. Alongside their tribute shows, they have released eight studio albums of original material in the same symphonic prog tradition. Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett has publicly endorsed them, and their seventh album 'Seven' featured him as a guest.
