Wicked is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, based on Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel. It retells the Wizard of Oz story from the witches' point of view, following Elphaba and Glinda. Since its Broadway debut in 2003 it has become one of the longest-running musicals in history.
