Wolves In The Throne Room is an American atmospheric black metal band from Olympia, Washington, founded by brothers Aaron and Nathan Weaver in 2002. Over seven full-length albums - from the debut Diadem of 12 Stars through Thrice Woven and Primordial Arcana - the band has built a reputation for channeling the raw, elemental energy of the Pacific Northwest into dense, ritualistic sound. They record at their own Owl Lodge Studios in the Washington woods and have consistently rejected black metal clichés such as corpse paint and Satanic imagery in favour of nature mysticism and occult themes.
Wolves In The Throne Room announced the 'Knights of Tiamat' European tour for autumn 2026, including dates in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Oslo and Copenhagen.
The band reissued their original 2005 Demo via Relapse Records on April 25, 2025, marking the recording's 20th anniversary with LP, CD and cassette formats.
Wolves In The Throne Room were announced as support for Emperor's spring 2025 US tour, covering the first three East Coast shows in Worcester, Brooklyn and Silver Spring.
