About: Maher Cissoko

Maher Cissoko is a Swedish-Senegalese kora player who, together with his wife Sousou, forms the duo Sousou & Maher Cissoko. Raised in a griot family in Senegal, he carries on a deep tradition of West African music while blending it with Nordic and European influences.
