Göteborgskalaset 2026

Göteborgskalaset takes place 27-30 August in central Göteborg. Over four days, the city fills with concerts, dance, food and activities - all within walking distance and completely free, with no tickets required.

Among the artists are Miriam Bryant, Sahara Hotnights, Arvingarna, LOK, Yukimi and Teddybears. Read more about the programme at goteborgskalaset.se.

The main stage is at Götaplatsen, at the top of Avenyn. The upper part of Avenyn is closed off and restaurants and bars move out onto the street. Further down is Bältespännarparken with a dance floor - bugg, Bollywood and more - plus local food and craft beer. Across the street lies Kungsparken, a green oasis with circus and family activities, arranged together with the Dance and Theatre Festival.

If you cross the bridge over the canal, you reach Grönsakstorget, where new local bands play close to the audience. At Kungstorget and Basargatan, Streetfoodfestival is back, with food from around the world and concerts on stage.
