About the venue: Carlstens Fästning

Carlstens fästning is a well-preserved 17th-century fortress perched on the rock above Marstrand. Construction began in the 1650s and the site served for many years as both a military stronghold and a state prison - the notorious Lasse-Maja was among its inmates. Today the fortress hosts concerts, theatre performances and guided tours within its old walls.
