Bach Jazz

Bach Jazz takes the stage on Friday, 23 October 2026 at 19:00 in Equmeniakyrkan in Lycksele. The trio blends Johann Sebastian Bach's classical compositions with modern jazz and improvisation - a suggestive and playful meeting of two musical worlds. Bach's music encounters the freedom of improvisation in cohesive arrangements inspired equally by Jan Johansson and George Harrison as by Miles Davis and Nils Frahm. The debut album from 2024 was named "Jazz of the Month" by Dagens Nyheter and "Chamber Jazz of the Year" by Lira Musikmagasin. This sole Swedish tour date offers a rare chance to experience how two distinct musical traditions converge on stage.
