A Heart in These Times, with Ann Petrén
Lisa, approaching seventy, is accused of a serious crime. During a police interrogation, she begins to tell her story - and soon she is controlling the conversation as reality slowly unravels. Something happened on the platform, but what? Ann Petrén and Anna Wallander meet in an eerie interrogation drama with a keen sense of everyday's dark comedy, where Lisa's worldview is revealed piece by piece. Is she a victim or a perpetrator - or both?
The play is written by John Ajvide Lindqvist and directed by Anna Takanen, who previously directed Ajvide Lindqvist's "The Unlawful" at St. Paul's Church in Stockholm in 2019 - the production where the character Lisa first saw the light of day. Together they create a drama about the consequences of loneliness and insecurity, and about the unwillingness to bear guilt.
"Whoever has a heart in these times is best off staying hidden and keeping quiet. That's how it has become. In our beloved Sweden." - Lisa in "A Heart in These Times"
