Saltstänk & Smuggelsprit turné

On the Halland coast stands "Badhotell Klitterviken" - once grand, now in the late 1920s a hotel that has clearly seen better days. Yet the pompous owner Estrid (Helena Aspeflo) refuses to admit it. She drives her exhausted husband Hubert (Håkan Klamas) to maintain the illusion of an exclusive beach hotel, despite what the walls reveal.

Hubert has secretly made a deal with smuggling kingpin Konrad Stålberg (Daniel Träff) - a large shipment of spirits has been delivered overnight and must be moved on. The problem is that on the same day Estrid has booked a wake for the wealthy widow Stråhle (Ewa Roos), whose late husband was chairman of Halland's temperance committee. The widow has also promised to donate a substantial sum to the hotel, provided the ceremony proceeds calmly and with dignity.

Then the couple's daughter Alfrida (Jeanette Capocci) arrives - normally living in Göteborg, but now on a personal mission: to expose her suspected unfaithful lover. The fact that she recently lost her job and spent her parents' money on the city's jazz clubs and dance halls is a detail she has very carefully not shared with mum and dad.

Problems pile up quickly. Pastor Livhed (Mikael Riesebeck), who is to conduct the memorial service, suffers from narcolepsy and suddenly falls asleep. Postman Dag-Otto Flink (Jojje Jönsson) eventually doesn't know if he's a postman, smuggler, waiter or priest. The hotel's guests Rut (Annika Andersson) and her mumbling, stumbling husband Ragnar (Mikael Riesebeck) are unwillingly drawn into the chaos. With smuggled spirits in the cellar, a body gone astray, threatening spirits police and a coffin that never seems to contain what it should - the circus soon becomes complete.
