Meet the Radio Correspondents 2026

Radio Sweden's correspondents are on the ground when news happens, around the world. They deliver rapid news reporting alongside in-depth analysis and background - aiming to make the world more comprehensible.

Radio Sweden has the Nordic region's largest correspondent network: 20 correspondents stationed worldwide and around ten staff members in Stockholm. A central mission is to cover events that might otherwise slip into media obscurity. As Anders Pontara, foreign editor of the news programme Ekot, puts it: "At a time when journalism and freedom of speech are under attack in an increasing number of countries, it is of paramount importance to be on the ground."

The performance runs 1 hour 15 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of discussion. Which correspondents will participate will be announced in early autumn.
