InTension

InTension is Rebecca Livaniou's first solo stage production - a dance solo that moves in multiple directions at once, without revealing its logic in advance. Inspired by hip-hop's battle scene, where something is at stake in every moment, she constructs a physical monologue where each movement carries its own energy. Just beneath the surface lies an inner movement: contradictions and subtle shifts make themselves known, moods gradually shift. It is not about winning against someone else, but about overcoming one's own doubts and claiming space - in front of others and for oneself.

The production is created in close collaboration with music producer Kevin Wedin/12Twelve, costume designer Amanda Wisselgren, and light and space designer Thabiso Kubheka Persson. Dramaturg is Karina Sarkissova. Rebecca Livaniou has previously danced in works by Cullberg and choreographer Lisa Janbell.
