Ah Dorian!

Dorian is an inexperienced, cautious young man - until his best friend paints his portrait and everything changes. The painting makes him popular, admired, and desired. Influenced by the considerably older and cynical Harry, Dorian is tempted to exploit his looks and youth without restraint, drawn into a world of parties, sin, drugs, and crime where the consequences always seem to fall on someone else.

But something is wrong. Dorian stops aging - no matter what he does, his appearance remains unchanged, perfect. Meanwhile, the portrait begins to transform: the face becomes ugly, twisted, grotesque. What should be visible in him seems to gather in the painting instead.

Ah Dorian! is a free interpretation of Oscar Wilde's classic The Picture of Dorian Gray, written by Malin Axelsson, an award-winning playwright and artistic director of Riksteatern Barn & Unga. In a strikingly visual and harsh theatrical form, the production explores contemporary obsession with youth, status, and appearance. Performance length: 1 hour 15 minutes.
