Jävla idioter

Since childhood, Erik Myrstrand has tried to save his father - and his father tried to save him. His father was a sailor, but also what he called himself a businessman: a life with alcohol, drugs, torpedoes, and ATM explosions. The story begins the day Erik finds his father dead in the apartment. Who killed him? And who is Erik now that his father is gone?

Jävla idioter is a solo performance written and performed by Erik Myrstrand, created during the period when he himself was expecting his first child. The play explores reconciliation, guilt, forgiveness, and grief - about coming to terms with inner conflict, alcohol problems, processing trauma, and the relationship between child and parent.
