Avväxten - An Awakening Performance

Avväxten is based on poet David Väyrynen's forthcoming poetry collection of the same name - a single long sermon delivered at the meeting that concludes the jubilee week of the community Storberget/Isovaara/Stuorváris. The performance is an attempt to reconstruct that gathering, aiming to spread the community's message: if the earth is to continue bearing humanity, humans must begin to place significantly less weight on its shoulders.

For the jubilee celebration, members from similar associations have been invited - those who sympathize with the idea of always choosing the earth's wellbeing before humanity's.
