After two sold-out summers, Bygdespelet Höga Kusten returns for a final season at Höga Kusten Friluftsteater in Lövvik.

Bygdespelet Höga Kusten - Sanningar och skrönor på sågverkens tid is a musical story with music and lyrics by Tomas Ledin. The narrative follows Jonas and Svea, the daughter of a local landowner, whose forbidden love unfolds against the backdrop of early 20th-century Ådalen. The story draws from Tomas Ledin's own family history: his grandfather was sold at auction as a young boy, grew up to become a sawmill worker in the Lövvik area, and participated in the march against military gunfire in Ådalen in 1931.

On stage are Morgan Alling, Sussie Eriksson, Nils Reinholtz, Tova Hollender, Klas Wiljergård, Clara Henry and Victor Morell, alongside Jens W. Nilsson and Marta Parkman, plus a large local ensemble and live orchestra conducted by Patrik Grundström.

The production is created by Tomas Ledin (concept, music and lyrics), Pär Nymark (script), Markus Virta (direction) and Nils-Petter Ankarblom (musical director). Produced by 2Entertain, Vicky Nöjesproduktion and Live Nation. Running time: 2 hours and 50 minutes including intermission.
