Amerikaväskan

The lecture Amerikaväskan explores the era of mass emigration and tells the stories of individual emigrants. Who were they? Why did they leave? What was the journey like, and what happened to them in America - did they ever return home? The selection of life stories illustrates different types of emigrants and how they adapted to life in their new country.

The programme is included in the admission ticket but places are limited. Arrive at least 10 minutes before the start - otherwise your place may be reassigned to the waiting list. Unreserved places are released until the programme begins.
