Klippan

For two centuries, Klippan was Gothenburg's harbour district, and an industrial community grew up around sugar and porter production. This walk through Klippan's cultural reserve takes you to the East India Company buildings, the ruins of Älvsborg Castle, and the factory environments of the sugar and porter breweries. The walk concludes at the remarkable porter house, where a special breakfast was once served.

The walk starts at Sjömagasinet, Adolf Edelsvärds gata 5, and ends at the porter house in front of Hotel Waterfront. Simple loudspeaker equipment is used.
